Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test

Candidates are appointed as Lower Primary Teacher for classes I-V and Upper Primary teachers for classes VI-VIII in Schools run by Government and Private managements. PSTET 2019 Online Form Guidelines
In order to apply for this exam, applicants need to fill the online application form from the official website. Here is the link to apply for PSTET.
- The candidates must read all the guidelines that are mentioned in the official website.
- The candidates must submit their academic and personal details carefully.
- The candidates need to upload only a scanned copy of their documents.
- The candidates who belong to any reserved category must produce their certificate to support the claim.
- Besides the online mode there is no other option to apply for this exam.
PSTET 2019 Application Fee
The fee can be paid offline and online. The payment made through offline mode can be paid by E-Challan in the nearest HDFC Bank. The fee cannot be repay.
PSTET Certificate Validity
The certificate of PSTET shall be considered to be valid till seven years from the date when the result was announced. This validation date is applicable for all category applicants (reserved and unreserved).
Number of Attempts
The candidate can appear in the PSTET exam for any number of times. In order to improve the scores the candidate can reappear in the exam.

Qualifying Marks
As per the guidelines of Punjab Government, the candidate who scores 60% or more in the PSTET exam will be considered as eligible to apply for Government teacher post. Furthermore, the grant of 5% is given to the candidates who belong to any reserved category. However, this is only the eligibility criteria, a candidate does not hold any right to claim for the post.
Eligibility and Qualification for PSTET
PAPER -1
- The candidate should possess Senior Secondary(or equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and must be a holder of or could be appearing in last year of two-year Elementary Education Diploma( by whatever name)
- The candidate should hold at least 50% marks in Senior Secondary (or equivalent exam) and he must have passed or could be appearing in Elementary Education four-year diploma.
PAPER -2
- The candidate should possess, Graduation or two year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- The candidate must have cleared, Graduation with 55% or could be appearing in one year Bachelor degree in B.ed.
